Follow these steps to ensure the perfect print:
Bleed
To avoid an unwanted white border, drag all background content to the edges of your template. We’ll trim your cards between the safe area and the bleed line.
Safe Area
To prevent content from being cut off during the printing process, keep all key text and logos inside this zone.
File Format
When designing your poster, you may upload files in the form of a JPG, PNG or PDF. We recommend setting your document's resolution to a minimum of 300 DPI and color mode of CMYK.
Need to design your cards from the ground up? Choose the Create Your Own option to start from scratch. Customize with text, upload images and more.
If you’ve already created content for your cards, choose the Upload Your Own option to upload your finished design as a PDF, JPG or PNG. Please refer to the design guidelines to ensure your design is ready for print before you upload it.
To change the orientation on Create Your Own or Upload Your Own cards, select Customizations on the left panel menu and choose your desired orientation. Changes are not available on templates designed in a single orientation.
Size is selected before starting the design process. Once you upload a design or choose a template to customize, the size of your card can’t be changed. If you need a different size, you’ll need to create new cards.
Flat cards offer both single-sided and double-sided printing. If you’re looking to handwrite a message on your card, we recommend leaving white space or using light colors in the area in which you’d like to write. Additionally, a matte finish offers an ideal surface for handwritten notes. Opt for our 12 pt gloss material with a matte back, or our 14 pt matte material for the best writing surface. Folded cards offer the option to write messages on the inside of the card.
We recommend placing an order for 1 set of 25 cards to review the look and feel and determine if you’d like to order more. Alternatively, you may visit us in store and ask one of our print specialists for a printed proof of the card.
While custom quantities are not available, signature flat cards and folded cards are sold in increments of 25, and offer the option to purchase up to 500 cards per order. Next-day cards are also sold in increments of 25, and offer the option to purchase up to 200 cards per order.
Yes! Enjoy next-day pickup on select cards if ordered by 12 pm. Foil cards, folded cards, printed envelopes, 4" x 7.75" cards, and cards with rounded corners are available for delivery only.
Most of our signature flat card templates offer foil accents in gold, rose gold and silver — with gold as our most popular. To see how foil will look on the template of your choice, use the 3D Preview button in our design tool. Note that foil is automatically selected for certain design elements within select cards.
Folded cards arrive flat packed and scored in the center. Simply fold your cards along the scored line.
Each set of cards includes complimentary blank envelopes. If you’d like to print return addresses on your envelopes, opt for signature flat cards or folded cards. Need more envelopes? Visit us in store or online to purchase additional styles and sizes. Unwanted blank envelopes can be left with the print specialist if picking up cards same day.
A return address can be printed on the flap of the envelope by selecting the Printed Return Address option on our 5" x 7" signature flat cards or folded cards. Next-day cards include blank envelopes that can’t be customized.
Next-day cards, invitations and announcements
Need it fast? Select cards, invitations and announcements are available for next-day pickup if ordered by 12 pm. Great for last-minute additions to the guest list or impromptu events, order next-day cards, invites or announcements online and get them in store next-day! Choose from our large selection of professionally designed templates or upload your own design. Next-day cards are available in 5" x 7" with matte or gloss finish and are sold in packs of 25. Blank envelopes included.
Next-day pickup
Standard next-day pickup is free and available for many products ordered before 12 pm.
Orders placed after cut off times (12 pm for standard) will be ready the following day.
Delivery information
Cards can be delivered in five to seven business days.
